The Expresso Italian Villa has a tradition in Charlottesville that began in 1971. Our original restaurant was Expresso International on West Main Street. Charlottesville, its visitors, and the students of the University of Virginia soon made the Expresso International a huge success.

Today, that tradition of great food, a casual atmosphere, and reasonable prices continues at the Expresso Italian Villa. Our location at 129 North Emmet Street features the same Italian, Greek, and American dishes that made us famous on West Main Street.

Variety is a hallmark at Expresso Italian Villa. We pride ourselves on everyone in your party finding just want they want to eat. From time to time, one sees so many appealing dishes on the menu that deciding what to order becomes a challenge. We take that as a compliment!

Our specialities are our Italian dishes and our Expresso Pizza. Because we prepare our own pizza dough and top it with our fresh, handmade tomato sauce and fresh toppings, the Expresso Pizza is considered the best in Charlottesville. In fact, it's been voted Charlottesville's Best Pizza by diners on several occasions. Yes, there is such a thing a gourmet pizza … at least, there is at Expresso Italian Villa.

Expresso Italian Villa is open seven days a week from 6a.m. – 2a.m. Our breakfast menu is served all day. Reservations are not accepted except for very large parties.
